So, this post will be containing about 5 questions which people asked me when I was in Taiwan.
1.       为什么你比他们白? (Why is your skin fairer than them?)
-这个你别问我,可能是基因和激素的原因。
-DON’T ask me, maybe it’s because of gene or hormones.
2.       为什么他们都会用头巾盖头? (Why do they hijab?)
-他们大部分穆斯林教都这样,别问我我也不懂。
-Because she is a Muslim and most of them actually used it.
3.       那为什么你没有? (Then why you didn’t use it?)
-我是佛教的。(不是每个印尼人是穆斯林好吗,请不要误解,也不是每个穆斯林都用头巾)
-Because I’m Buddhism.
4.       为什么你才来几个月中文就这么厉害?(You just came here for few months, why your Chinese is so good?)
-我是印尼华侨。(印尼也有会说中文的好吗)
-Because I’m an Indonesian Born Chinese (?)
5.       你是香港人/台湾人/韩国人吗?(Are you a Hongkong people/Taiwanese/Korean?
-我是印尼人。 (长得太国际化了吗)
-I am an Indonesian.

There are still many other questions such as does Taiwan a good place to play, have you done walking all the places in Taiwan? Kinda good; not yet.
Taiwan is a big place, I’m glad and grateful enough that I am not lost.
And FYI, Some Indonesians can Chinese language, and most of them are friendly. We had the Muslim, Christian, Buddhism, Hindu, etc. Indonesia is a large country and there are a lot of islands, so don’t ask me whether I had finished travelled around Indonesia or not. I have no money and not enough time to travel.

Hi! It was just 1247AM right now and it’s Christmas!!!

So I am going to share a destination that I went yesterday, “Shou Shan Zoo” or “寿山动物园”. The ticket price is just only 20 NTD for students while for full price it is 40NTD which is also consider as standard for you to walk this large place!

There are around two to three places that sell foods, two restrooms and they even got several souvenirs shops for you! And the point is you don’t have to be afraid that you would get tired, because they provided you benches almost everywhere. I even had my lunch which I bought myself from my dorm when I went there.

These are the list of animals that you might get to see there! (sometimes the place the animals lived are closed down due to some reasons so you won’t get to see them)

1.       Flamingo
2.       Pademelon

3.       Sloth

There are quite a lot of animals that are not in the zoo when I went there on 23 December 2017, such as Formosan black bear, ferret, etc. They owned only one python, one elephant, one America bison and one pygmy hippopotamus.

When I was taking the picture with the green iguana, I was so shocked that the iguana actually stops its movement and stayed like a mannequin! And when I passed through the kid’s farm, I was given by the man two pieces of grass or something that the goat likes to eat, and I realized the goat actually know it and came closer to me. Thankfully they are not so wild. I touched their heads and feel their fur which is a bit rough. Oh and their rabbits looked fluffy and sooooooooooo fat! While their crocodiles and camel are so large, twice or thrice of me I think.

I remembered when I was in elementary grade. There were twins of sisters, keeps on having nose bleeds, almost every day! So this post was inspired by them!

Tips to stop nosebleeds!

  1. Sit up straight and tip your head slightly forward.
  2. Do not tilt your head back. This may cause blood to run down the back of your throat, and you may swallow it. Swallowed blood can irritate your stomach and cause vomiting. And vomiting may make the bleeding worse or cause it to start again. Spit out any blood that gathers in your mouth and throat rather than swallowing it.
  3. Use your thumb and forefinger to firmly pinch the soft part of your nose shut. The nose consists of a hard, bony part and a softer part made of cartilage. Nosebleeds usually occur in the soft part of the nose. Spraying the nose with a medicated nasal spray (such as Afrin) before applying pressure may help stop a nosebleed. You will have to breathe through your mouth.
  4. Apply an ice pack to your nose and cheeks. Cold will constrict the blood vessels and help stop the bleeding.
  5. Keep pinching for a full 10 minutes. Use a clock to time the 10 minutes. It can seem like a long time. Resist the urge to peek after a few minutes to see if your nose has stopped bleeding.
  6. Check to see if your nose is still bleeding after 10 minutes. If it is, hold it for 10 more minutes. Most nosebleeds will stop after 10 to 20 minutes of direct pressure.
  7. Put a thin layer of a saline- or water-based nasal gel, such as NasoGel, or an antiseptic nasal cream inside your nose. Do not blow your nose or put anything else inside your nose for at least 12 hours after the bleeding has stopped.
  8. Rest quietly for a few hours.
Some causes of nosebleeds:
  1. Inflammation of the mucous membranes - this is usually caused by allergies or possibly by upper respiratory infections.
  2. Dryness to the mucous membranes - decongestant medications and a dry environment can make the inside of the nose dry and make them prone to bleed.
  3. Foreign substances – objects such as peas, cheerios, cocaine, or even steroid nasal sprays can make the nose bleed.
  4. Trauma - yes, being punched in the nose can make it bleed. You probably didn’t need a doctor to tell you that one.
The nose can bleed from two main sources, the front (or anterior) portion, and the back (or posterior) portion.  Anterior nosebleeds are by far the most common, and almost always get better without much medical intervention. Posterior bleeds, on the other hand, can be quite serious; but thankfully, they are relatively rare.
  1. Anterior nosebleeds: Anterior nosebleeds usually originate from a bundle of blood vessels.
  2. Posterior nosebleeds: To point out where a posterior nosebleed occurs would take very long and thin fingers.
Fun Facts!
  • We don’t easily nosebleeds when we meet some sexual situation.
  • There are some cancers that can cause nosebleeds! Leukemia is one of them.
  • Extreme of cold or hot environment can cause nosebleeds.
If you are suffering from nose bleed for a long time, you can consult to doctor in case it is a Posterior nosebleed, since this type of nosebleeds is serious and need surgical intervention.

A young Cow herd who lived alone, met Weaver Girl and fell in love with her, which is also the Goddess's seventh daughter, who had just escaped from boring heaven to look for fun. Soon, they got married without the knowledge of the Goddess. They lived happily and had two children. But the Goddess  found out that Weaver Girl, a fairy girl, had married a mere mortal. The Goddess was furious and ordered Weaver Girl to return to heaven. (Alternatively, the Goddess forced the fairy back to her former duty of weaving colorful clouds, a task she neglected while living on earth with a mortal.) On Earth, Cowherd was very upset that his wife had disappeared. Suddenly, his ox began to talk, telling him that if he killed it and put on its hide, he would be able to go up to Heaven to find his wife. Crying bitterly, he killed the ox, put on the skin, and carried his two beloved children off to Heaven to find Weaver Girl. The Goddess discovered this and was very angry. Taking out her hairpin, the Goddess scratched a wide river in the sky to separate the two lovers forever, thus forming the Milky Way between Altair and Vega. Weaver Girl must sit forever on one side of the river, sadly weaving on her loom, while Cowherd watches her from afar while taking care of their two children (his flanking stars β and γ Aquilae). But once a year all the magpies in the world would take pity on them and fly up into heaven to form a bridge (the bridge of magpies) over the star Denebin the Cygnus constellation so the lovers may be together for a single night, which is the seventh night of the seventh moon. However, sometimes in the year, there are no stars regarding to the mythology appearing in the sky.

Nowadays, girls take part in worshiping the celestials during rituals. They will go to the local temple to pray to Weaver Girl for wisdom. Paper items are usually burned as offerings. Girls may recite traditional prayers for dexterity in needlework, which symbolize the traditional talents of a good spouse. Divination could take place to determine possible dexterity in needlework. They make wishes for marrying someone who would be a good and loving husband. During the festival, girls make a display of their domestic skills. Traditionally, there would be contests amongst those who attempted to be the best in threading needles under low-light conditions like the glow of an ember or a half moon. Some girls also gather toiletries in honor of the seven maidens.

The festival also held an importance for newlywed couples. Traditionally, they would worship the celestial couple for the last time and bid farewell to them. The celebration stood symbol for a happy marriage and showed that the married woman was treasured by her new family.

During this festival, a festoon is placed in the yard. Single and newlywed women make offerings to Cowherd and Weaver Girl, which may include fruit, flowers, tea, and face powder. After finishing the offerings, half of the face powder is thrown on the roof and the other half divided among the young women. It is believed that, by doing this, the women are bound in beauty with Weaver Girl. Tales say that it will rain on this fateful day if there's crying in heaven. Other tales say that you can hear the lovers talking if you stand under grapevines on this night.

On this day, the Chinese gaze to the sky to look for Vega and Altair shining in the Milky Way, while a third star forms a symbolic bridge between the two stars. It was said that if it rains on this day that it was caused by a river sweeping away the magpie bridge or that the rain is the tears of the separated couple. Based on the legend of a flock of magpies forming a bridge to reunite the couple, a pair of magpies came to symbolize conjugal happiness and faithfulness.

On this day too, it is known as Chinese Valentine Day! Have you prepared gift for your love one?

This is the seventh post! So I am going to post something that is related to me, and I am sure you won’t know about these facts!

  1. PHYSICALLY stopped growing since elementary. My height and weight stop in those numbers. Do not try to guess the numbers!
  2. I suspect myself in involving bipolar disorder, where I can change my moods real quick!
  3. I had stopped trying to scare roaches away, because whenever I tried, they approaches me (not run to the opposite side) so basically you can say roaches are the one who perfectly frightened me!
  4. You can say I am 60-70 percent earless! Well it depends on what I am doing to, if you are talking to me when I am doing something, I really won’t care to listen nor reply.
  5. I am afraid of height (I guess this is the reason why I do not grow tall anymore), BUT I would like to try bungee jumping!
  6. I am a fan of amusement park. I will think that whole day is not enough for me to spend in amusement park.
  7. Last but not the least, this is what people always like to ask me but, they won’t believe my answer! Why would you ask me then? I never change my status. And I don’t actually crave for it, because I believe that it will comes to you eventually.
