4. ED SHEERAN'S ACHIEVEMENT

On the Official Albums Chart dated 16 March 2017, Ed Sheeran's (UK) third studio album, ÷ ("Divide"), debuted at No.1 with 672,000 first-week sales/downloads/streaming equivalent sales to become the third fastest-selling UK album of all time.
Adele's 25 (800,307 first-week copies sold in November 2015) and Oasis' Be Here Now(696,000 copies sold in three days in August 1997) are the only two UK albums with higher first-week sales than ÷.
Sheeran's first-week numbers comprised 62% physical sales, 26% full-album downloads and 12% streaming equivalent sales (amounting to 79,000 album streams – a new record for first-week UK album streams).
÷ sold more copies in its first week than the rest of the UK's Top 500 albums combined.
÷ is Sheeran's third chart-topping studio album, after + (2011) and x (2014). On the chart dated 16 March 2017, with ÷ at No.1, x at No.4 and + at No.5, Sheeran became the sixth act – after Elvis Presley (1957), The George Mitchell Minstrels (1962), Michael Jackson (2009), David Bowie (2016) and Prince (2016) – and only the third living act to post three simultaneous Top 5 albums.
Sheeran also broke Calvin Harris' (UK) previous record for the most Top 10 tracks from one album. With seven new entries on 16 March 2017 adding to his existing Top 10 hits "Shape of You", "Castle on the Hill" and "How Would You Feel (Paean)", Sheeran racked up 10 Top 10s from ÷ – one more than Harris achieved from his album 18 Months (2012).

3. HECATERINA KINUMI IGLESIAS AKA KINUMI CATI'S ACHIEVEMENT

The longest videogame marathon playing World of Warcraft (Blizzard) is 29 hours 31 minutes and was achieved by Hecaterina Kinumi Iglesias aka Kinumi Cati (Spain) in Vigo, Spain, on 29–30 March 2014.
Hecaterina, who goes by the nickname "Kinumi Cati", played World of Warcraft on a PC and simulaneously set the record for the longest videogame marathon on an MMORPG.
Hecaterina had previously set the record for longest videogame marathon on a Japanese-style role playing game (JRPG) – 38 hours 6 minutes on Final Fantasy X, in Barcelona, Spain, from 26–28 July 2013.
She tells GWR: “I always wanted to become a singer and I also love videogames. To raise my profile among young people I thought I’d try to set some records for my gaming. My YouTube channel shows some of my singing performances and also reflects my passion for videogames and Japanese culture in general.”

Guinness Record Part 2

2. Eminem's Achievement

"Rap God" by Eminem (USA) packs 1,560 words into a fast and furious 6 min 4 sec – that's a tongue-twisting average of 4.28 words per second! In one 15-second segment alone, "Slim Shady" spits 97 words (6.46 words per second) at "supersonic speed".
Excluding the 26-second intro (spoken by an unknown vocalist) and an indeterminate number of words rapped by Eminem in the intro's background (likely to be 22, all included in the total of 1,560), "Slim Shady" actually raps 1,460 words in 5 min 38 sec (4.31 words per second) in the verses/choruses of the track.

Rap God" finds Eminem spitting rhymes about Monica Lewinsky, Dale Earnhardt and a host of fellow rappers including 2Pac, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Run-DMC, Dr Dre, Rakim, Pharoahe Monch, Fabolous, Ray J and Heavy D & The Boyz. In all, 43 figures from the world of rap/hip-hop are name-checked/referenced by Eminem.

Taken from The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem's eighth studio album, "Rap God" debuted at Number 5 on the UK's Official Singles Chart on 26 October 2013, and at Number 7 on the US Billboard Hot 100 on 2 November 2013, as well as charting in numerous other countries around the world. It was the rapper's seventh Top 10 debut on the Hot 100, eclipsing Lil Wayne (six) for the most Top 10 debuts on the Hot 100 (male).

"Rap God" also helped Eminem set the record for the most simultaneous Top 20 hits on the US Hot 100 as a lead solo artist. "The Monster" (No.3), "Berzerk" (No.15), "Survival" (No.16) and "Rap God" (No.17) were all in the Top 20 on 16 November 2013. Only The Beatles, with six simultaneous Top 20 hits in April-May 1964, can better Eminem's achievement among lead artists. 50 Cent, T-Pain and Lil Wayne have all had four songs in the Top 20 at the same time, but all were featured artists on at least one track.

Eminem performed "Rap God" at the inaugural YouTube Music Awards in New York City, USA, on 3 November 2013.

Guinness Record Part 1

So starting from this weekend until the very end of this month, I will be posting about the Guinness World’s Record.

1. WORLD LONGEST FORT WALL

Built on a hilltop 1,100 m (3,600 ft) above sea level on the Aravalli range, the fort of Kumbhalgarh has perimeter walls that extend 36 km (22 mi), making it one of the longest walls in the world. The frontal walls are fifteen feet thick. Kumbhalgarh has seven fortified gateways. There are over 360 temples within the fort, 300 ancient Jain and the rest Hindu. From the palace top, it is possible to see kilometers into the Aravalli Range. The sand dunes of the Thar Desert can be seen from the fort walls.

Hill forts of Rajasthan - the longest fort wall in the world recorded by Guinness World’s Record. It’s a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills, in the Rajsamand district near Udaipur of Rajasthan state in western India. It is a World Heritage Site included in Hill Forts of Rajasthan. Built during the course of the 15th century by Rana Kumbha, Kumbhalgarh is also the birthplace of Maharana Pratap the great king and warrior of Mewar. Occupied until the late 19th century, the fort is now open to the public and is spectacularly lit for a few minutes each evening. Kumbalgarh is situated 82 km northwest of Udaipur by road. It is the most important fort in Mewar after Chittaurgarh
In 2013, at the 37th session of the World Heritage Committee held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Kumbhalgarh Fort, along with five other fort of Rajasthan, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the group Hill Forts of Rajasthan.
With a wall over 38 km long, the fort is among the largest wall complex in the world, and the second largest fort in Rajasthan after Chittor Fort.

Kumbhalgarh in its current form was built and ruled by Rana Kumbha and his dynasty who were Hindu Sisodia rajputs descendents. Kumbhalgarh in its present form was developed by, and believed to have been designed by a famous architect of the era Madan. Rana Kumbha's kingdom of Mewar stretched from Ranthambore to Gwalior and included large tracts of erstwhile Madhya Pradesh as well as Rajasthan. Out of the 84 forts in his dominion, Rana Kumbha is said to have designed 32 of them, of which Kumbhalgarh is the largest and most elaborate.

Ahmed Shah I of Gujarat attacked the fort in 1457, but found the effort futile. There was a local belief then that the Banmata deity in the fort protected it and hence he destroyed the temple. There were further attempts in 1458-59 and 1467 by Mahmud Khalji, but it also proved futile. Akbar's general, Shabhbaz Khan, is believed to have taken control of the fort in 1576. In 1818, an armed band of Sanyasins formed a garrison to protect the fort, but was convinced by Tod and the fort was taken over by the Marathas. There were additions made by Maharanas of Mewar, but the original structure built by Maharana Kumbha remains. The residential buildings and temples are well-preserved The fort is also known to be the birthplace of Maha Rana Pratap. But it was recaptured by Maharana Pratap in 1585 in the battle of Dewair
