View from my University to MRT Station |
I was wondering why everybody keeps on asking me why am I in Taiwan and
some of the way of asking sounds despised. And now I am going to tell you that
I was taking the International Program which is exchange student to Taiwan, and
it was only a semester. So I will be back soon.
A lot of you asked me how to get this program. I will tell you all the
points to aware if you are going to take the exchange program.
First of all, if you are going to join an exchange program, make sure
you have the abilities, in both financial and knowledge. Usually they will
choose the one which has good grades and has a financial background. BE AWARE
that if you take the scholarship this doesn’t totally mean that you will get
full scholarship! Try to make sure with the coordinator who helped you. Ask
him/her whether you need to pay for dormitory, VISA, flights and tuition fees
or not. Because usually scholarship only cover your tuition fees, but not to
mention it is depends by the university that you register yourself in this program.
After you are sure about the abilities, you may register yourself!
For my University, I paid for the flights, dormitory, VISA and admin
fees (these are all I can remember, I have a bad memory). DO NOT ask me about the prices! Because it will
change anytime, just make sure that you keep your wallet thick (of money, not
bills).
In case any of you would like to come to my University in Taiwan, I will
share some information about here!
I lived in Dormitory 3 which is the fashion street one, in other words,
Dormitory 3 is nearer to EDA Outlet Mall than the building I need to go every
weekday for class! Usually it was around 1000steps and 10 minutes to get to the
building (FYI, my steps). So if you don’t want to walk so far and it is REALLY
tiring, you may take the Dormitory 1, which is nearer, but there are 4beds for
a room (Tiring for ME, because I was used to drive instead of walking, well you
can think that I am working out. 2000steps to get to class and back dorm).
I took the International Finance, so my building is International
College, which inside this building mostly are International department
students. They had their own management building, science and engineering
building, teaching building and admin building. And also for the medical
building, this is stated aside from the buildings because this building is
special! Unlike others, this medical building for medical students are located
near the EDA Hospital, it is not near the IC building (yes you can’t get to see
the oppa who learn medicine like Doctor Stranger).
I think that’s all for now! In the next post I will talk to you about
facilities here! Stay tune, remember to share to your friend in case it is
